India says Pak in denial, questions anti-terror pledge

Regretting Pak's "continuing pattern of evasiveness and denial" in the wake of the Mumbai atrocity, India said it was still awaiting a response and underlined that statements by Pak leaders only reinforced its doubts about Islamabad's capacity to act against terror.

Coming down heavily on Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s statement that the Mumbai terror strikes dossier handed over by India was just ‘information’, New Delhi has said that Islamabad continued to be in a denial mode.

“There is a continuing pattern of evasiveness and denial in Pakistan’s response to the Mumbai terrorist attack,” External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said.

“These reinforce the already strong doubts, which exist on Pakistan’s stance on terrorism from Pakistan,” he said.
