"We will come out of it earlier than other countries," IT major Infosys Technologies' Co-Chairman Nandan Nilekani said in Mumbai on Wednesday, while attending a function at the Vidyanagari Campus in Kalina in the city to talk about his book Imagining India: Ideas for the New Century.

India's GDP is consumer-driven, he said, adding that India was least dependent on exports.

This is the reason why India would come out of the recession sooner than other countries, he said.
