Industrial houses are game for Haryana?s ITI trainees

To upgrade technical education in Haryana and ensure placement of trainees in industry, the Hooda government has signed Memoranda of Understanding with four industrial houses enabling them adopt Industrial Training Institutes in the state.

To upgrade technical education in Haryana and ensure placement of trainees in industry, the Hooda government has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with four industrial houses enabling them adopt Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in the state.

While Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) will adopt the ITIs at Gurgaon and Rohtak, Liberty Shoes Ltd would adopt ITI at Karnal. The ITI at Nagina im Mewat district would be adopted by Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd and that of Faridabad by Jay Bharat Maruti Ltd.

Two separate MoUs have also been signed by the Haryana government with the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), New Delhi, for conducting vocational courses in the trades of the construction sector at ITI in Palwal and implementing an innovative scheme of testing and certification of workers in the informal sector.
