Injured Viru, Bhajji to return
The two have been sent back for proper treatment with an eye on the home Test and ODI series against England.
Injured vice-captain Virender Sehwag and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh will not take part in the remaining two one-day internationals against Pakistan and are to return home, it was announced in Lahore on Monday.
No replacements, however, would be coming for them as 14 players would be left in the squad after their departure, said India's selection committee chairman Kiran More during the third one-day international at the Gaddafi Stadium.
"Sehwag and Harbhajan are to go back today or tomorrow (Tuesday) morning," More said.
"There won't be any replacements as there's hardly any time left. There are already 14 players in the squad (after Sehwag and Harbhajan's departure)," he said.
Sehwag hurt his left shoulder muscle during the second one-day international in Rawalpindi on Saturday and has been advised two weeks' rest.
Harbhajan had injured his index finger two days before the first one-dayer played in Peshawar on February 6. He developed fluid around the joint and has missed all three one-day internationals so far.
More said the two were being sent back for proper treatment and with an eye on the home Test and one-day international series against England.
The English team arrived in India on Monday.
