Innerwheel holds poster, quiz competitions

ON THE occasion of the ‘World Breastfeeding Week’, members of the Inner Wheel Club organised competitions at SN Sen Girls College on Saturday.
The program was started with a welcome song presented by the students.
Students took part in a poster competition and quiz contest. Judge of the competition Dr MM Maithani announced the names of the winners.
Around 25 students took part in the competition along with the teachers and members of the Inner Wheel Club.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Chandra Luthra said that that breastfeeding was the best food for newborn, which keeps them healthy and reduces the risk of infection.
Dr Luthra said that breastfeeding to baby also reduce risk of breast cancer among the mothers.
Members of the Innerwheel Club Kanpur East also organised a road show ‘Bhagwan Kaa Vardaan’ in connection with the ‘World Breastfeeding Week’. The main theme of the story was to depict that in today’s changing world some women do not breastfeed their babies, which ultimately results in the death of the baby.

Members of the City’s Innerwheel Club along with Dr Sangeeta Srivastava were present to make people aware about ‘World Breastfeeding Week’.
