The Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) revealed that men are more likely to buy an iPhone 5S device in space gray, while women are more inclined to pick the silver color.

Overall, space gray is the most popular color for Apple's flagship 5S device, which is also available in silver and gold, Mashable reports.

CIRP data revealed that although the gold model is in limited supply, it was popular among both genders while it was available.

The colors for Apple's lower-cost iPhone 5C differ among genders also.

Males more likely chose white or blue iPhone 5C models, while female chose pink.

However, blue is the most popular iPhone 5C color overall (27%), followed by white (25%), green (21%) and pink (20%). Yellow had the lowest share, making up only 7% of 5C sales, the report added.
