India should give top priority to check the violence otherwise the whole peace process would prove futile, Gupta said in a statement.

Over 50,000 weapons and tones of RDX and other deadly explosives have been seized by the security forces and the police from the killed and arrested ultras during last 15 years, he said adding large number of such weapons and explosives carried the markings of the ordinance factories of Pakistan.

He said many of the killed and apprehended terrorists were Pakistani nationals. "These people cannot be pushed to this side without the active connivance of Pakistan authorities, especially the ISI," he said.
