ISO 9001-2000 for VSP personnel dept

The Personnel department gets the ISO 9001-2000 certificate for excellence in Human Resource Services.

The Personnel Department of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) has been awarded the ISO 9001-2000 certificate for excellence in Human Resource Services.

VSP Personnel Director K A Naidu received the certificate from BVQI at a function here on Saturday.

VSP Chairman and Managing Director Y Siva Sagar Rao complimented Mr Naidu and his team on the achievement.

The plant also gained the status of 'total literate organisation,' the first integrated steel plant to achieve the record, Mr Naidu claimed.

Meanwhile, Mr Sagar Rao today inaugurated the new DC drive control systems, which will enhance the productivity of the mill by increasing the rolling time and reducing spare consumption.
