An Israeli soldier was killed and five others were wounded on Wednesday in fierce fighting with Hezbollah guerrillas in a southern Lebanese town,

Israel considers the town of Bint Jbeil to be a Hezbollah stronghold and its troops have been trying to capture it since Tuesday.
