State Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather announced Rs 23 crore for Arzan-Garzan dam and Rs 45 crore for Malapora dam, both in Budgam district, to provide sufficient irrigation facilities to bring a new green revolution in the area, the spokesman said.
"Given the situation, there is no room for any laxity or excuse in executing various development works expeditiously," the spokesman quoted while addressing a public gathering after laying the foundation of a bridge over Tulbren stream at Kakawring in the district at a cost of Rs 2.15 crore.
