State finance minister Abdul Rahim Rather on Thursday ordered immediate upgradation and face-lifting of the toll plaza at lower munda in Kashmir at a cost of over rs seven crore, an official spokesman said. Lower munda toll plaza is the entry and exit point to the Kashmir valley, where government officials collect the taxes.

Separate import and export barrels will be constructed to fix the regular traffic jams that occur there.

Two weigh-bridges, one each for export and import barrels, will be set up to clear the incoming and outgoing vehicles without any delay and inconveniences to the transporters and people, the spokesman said.

He said 15 solar lights will also be installed in the toll plaza to facilitate vehicle clearance by the toll plaza staff during the night hours.
