J&K to award people exposing corruption

Jammu and Kashmir government will honour people exposing corruption and creating awareness against the malpractice.

The General Administration Department (GAD) has invited applications from individuals, NGOs, associations and societies for award of Chief Ministers Vigilance Medal-2009, to be given on August 15, according to a notification issued by the concerned department.

The award comprises of four medals each year, with two medals for government servants and two for public-spirited citizens, NGOs, associations and societies and a cash prize of Rs 51,000 along with a certificate.
