Both the pilots had ejected, IAF officials said, adding efforts were on to find them.

The aircraft took off from the Allahabad base at 7:25am and crashed at around 8:47am. A court of inquiry has been ordered, IAF officials said.

In March, another Jaguar aircraft had crashed in agricultural fields near Shahbad town in Haryana with the pilot ejecting safely from the plane.
