Jailed M'rashtra minister Naik admitted to hospital

Surupsingh Naik was on Monday admitted to JJ Hospital following complaint of diabetes and high blood pressure.

Jailed former Maharashtra Minister Surupsingh Naik was on Monday admitted to JJ Hospital following complaint of diabetes and high blood pressure, police sources said.

Naik, who was lodged in Thane central prison on Saturday morning to serve one month's jail term in the Supreme Court contempt case, complained of uneasiness, profuse sweating and palpitation, and was immediately rushed to the hospital, they said.

DIG (Prisons) SP Yadav confirmed that Naik was admitted to hospital and he was being treated there.
