Jammu trust launches daily bus service to Haridwar

The Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust (JYBT) has launched daily night bus services between Jammu and Haridwar to facilitate pilgrimage to the holy town.

The Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust (JYBT) has launched daily night bus services between Jammu and Haridwar to facilitate pilgrimage to the holy town.

The first AC bus service to Haridwar was flagged off last evening by Jammu Divisional Commissioner Shantmanu at K C Chowk in Jammu, an official spokesman said here today.



The 51-seater bus with 21 sleeping berths and 30 seating chairs belonging to Jamana Travels will leave Jammu daily at 7:30 PM and will reach the Jammu Yatri Bhawan premises at Haridwar next morning, he said.



The corresponding bus will leave Haridwar at 4:30 PM daily.



Shantmanu lauded the facilities being provided by the Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust to the pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir visiting Haridwar to take dip in holy Ganga and those who go their to immerse the ashes of their deceased relatives.



Speaking on the occasion, JYBT president Pawan Shastri said the devotees availing this bus service from Haridwar to Jammu will be provided free packed food by the trust.
