Jane Garvey's journey -- From Harvard to Convergys

Garvey earned her BA from Williams College and her master's degree in business administration from Harvard University.

As vice president of Corporate Communications for Convergys Corporation, Jane Garvey is responsible for corporate communications; community relations and the Convergys Foundation; public relations; business, financial and trade media relations; and industry analyst relations.

Prior to her current role, Garvey served as vice president of Marketing Communications for Convergys.

She was responsible for the worldwide external marketing mix, including advertising, trade media, industry analyst relations, event management, direct marketing, the Web site, product demonstrations and sales support tools.

Jane Garvey on a different mission in Hyderabad

Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, Garvey has previously also held the role of vice president of Marketing for Convergys' Customer Management Group (CMG).

Before joining Convergys, Garvey served as director of Marketing for Chiquita Brands International, including a six-year assignment in Europe. She has also held various marketing positions with Chiquita Brands International, Time-Warner and SAMI-Burke.

Garvey earned her BA from Williams College and her master's degree in business administration from Harvard University.

Garvey is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for the Cincinnati Museum Center, The Seven Hills School, and Joy Outdoor Education Center.

Jane and her husband, John Lanier, reside in Cincinnati, and are the parents of two children.
