An unglamarous and somewhat nerdish duo was the focus of shutterbugs at the Lakme India Fashion Week on Friday, and nobody was complaining as the two happened to be small screen's most loved characters, Jassi and her best friend Nandu.
Mona Singh who plays Jassi in 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin' and her onscreen pal Nandu were at the event for shooting of an episode of the popular TV drama. The grapevine had it that the plain-jane and perfect secretary of Armaan Suri was getting a designer makeover.
The duo were first spotted seated at the back among the audience during designer Monisha Jaising's show in the morning. They disappeared shortly afterwards.
Mona, who plays the middle-class girl wearing braces, thick librarian spectacles and a strange hairstyle in the drama, was later seen trying out costumes at designer Raghavendra Rathore's stall.
The shoot continued throughout the day as mediapersons waited for a chance to speak to Jassi. Nandu was again sighted at Tarun Tahiliani show in the evening.
