Jewellery worth Rs. 12 lakh stolen from Sector 45

Unidentified burglars broke into a house in Huda Sector 45 and fled with gold and diamond jewellery and other valuables worth Rs. 12 lakh on Friday.

Unidentified burglars broke into a house in Huda Sector 45 and fled with gold and diamond jewellery and other valuables worth Rs. 12 lakh on Friday.

The culprits gained access into the house after breaking open the lock of the front door when the house occupants were away.

Dr Meena Aggarwal, said, “I am a widow and stay along with my two daughters. I went out at 10.40am to visit my driver as he recently lost his mother. I returned at 1:17pm and was shocked to see the iron grill and wooden door broken though the main gate’s lock was intact.”

“My daughter’s money and jewellery were all taken away. Idols of Laxmi and Ganesha in gold are also missing along with other jewellery items,” added Aggarwal.

The police was immediately informed.

“The burglars entered the house on the ground floor through the front door. They broke open all the doors. They must have spent a lot of time in the house and inside the master bedroom. They ransacked the house and fled with jewellery and other household items. Three laptops and a camera are also missing,” said SHO inspector Vikas Kaushik.
