Breathing parameters of Jogi, who underwent surgery for spine injuries, have shown good progress, but he will be under observation, he said.
He had who developed chest congestion two days ago.
"Jogi's condition is fairly stable and we are helping him out with suction to get rid of the extra fluid in the lungs and also giving support for breathing," he said.
The 59-year-old former Chief Minister had suffered severe spinal and head injuries on April 11 when the car in which he was travelling from Rajim to Deobhog in Chhattisgarh, dashed against a road-side tree. He was flown to Mumbai on April 11 and was operated at the Bombay Hospital.
Senior Congress leader and former Finance Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday called on Jogi but could not talk to him as he was not allowed inside the ICU, Dr Goyal said.
However, Singh, who was accompanied by Mumbai Pradesh Congress Committee president Gurudas Kamat, spoke to his family members outside ICU, hospital sources said.
