The first shot of the film was shot outside a private bungalow at the Sindhi Colony near here which has been recreated to look like the Karachi street where Daneil, the late Wall Street Journal reporter had lived with his wife Mariane before he was abducted and murdered by militants four years ago.
The first shot being filmed by director Michael Winterbottom was that of a foreign-made car arriving from the other end of `Zamzam Street 4' (Baner Road renamed as the famous Karachi street) towards the bungalow.
Ever since the celebrated Hollywood couple arrived in Pune on October five for a month-long shooting schedule, a horde of media men laid a virtual seige around the five star hotel they are staying.
However on Friday the press photographers and television cameramen were kept at an arm's length by private security hired by the film unit. A couple of policemen have also been deployed outside the bungalow where the shooting of the film commenced in the afternoon.
