"I am happy. I have come back to my home," the joyous teenager said.

Kislay's father KK Gupta, an additional commissioner in the Sales Tax department, said "the happiness which was taken away from me 15 days back has returned to me."

The Delhi Public School student had been kidnapped from Patel Nagar locality here on January 19.

Kislay said the abductors were friendly towards him and had not tortured him. "No one even scolded me."

He said he did not meet anybody other than the person who provided him food.

"I was kept in a room and I think the police raided the place and rescued me."

The seventh standard boy's kidnapping had sparked widespread protests with students of various schools skipping lunch and holding protest demonstrations to pressurise the Government, and had become a major political issue.

His release a day before the first phase of polling in Bihar has given a shot in the arm to RJD strongman Lalu Prasad who had been a target of attack on the law and order situation in the state.
