Kalmadi wants London ticket

Sacked CWG Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi, accused in a games-related graft case, today sought a Delhi court's permission to attend the 2012 Olympics in London.

Facing corruption charges in connection with the Commonwealth Games, its former organising committee chief Suresh Kalmadi on Thursday moved court seeking permission to travel to London for the Olympics, in his capacity as a member of the International Association of Athletics Federation.

His plea is listed for hearing on Friday. In April, the court had allowed Kalmadi to visit Kazakhstan for an Asian Athletics Association Council meeting.
