Kanchi seer case adjourned till October 27

Kanchi seer Jayendra Saraswati filed a petition saying he was unable to attend the court hearing due to a back ailment.

A sessions court on Friday adjourned to October 27 the hearing of Radhakrishnan assault case, after Kanchi seer Jayendra Saraswati filed a petition saying he was unable to attend the court hearing due to a back ailment.

Allowing the petition, filed on the seer's behalf by his advocate KS Dinakaran, First Additional Sessions Judge AR Selvakumar adjourned the case to October 27.

With the exception of the seer, the other ten accused in the case, including the junior seer's brother R Raghu and Kanchi mutt manager Sundaresa Iyer were present in the court in the case relating to the September 20, 2002 attack on a former mutt employee and auditor Radhakrishnan, his wife and an attendant in the city.
