Senior Congress leader K Karunakaran escaped unhurt when the car he was travelling in met with an accident near Kottakkal in Malappuram on Tuesday, police said.
The front portion of the car got damaged after it was involved in a mishap with a mini lorry. However, the former chief minister continued his journey in another car.
Ninety-year-old Karunakaran was on his way from Kozhikode after visiting his son, NCP state president K Muraleedharan.
