The police have so far succeeded in listing 16 such targets for whom, 32 life insurance policies amounting to over Rs 5 crore were drawn. It is being termed as the first insurance conspiracy of its type in the country.

The issue has not only exposed severe lapses in the insurance procedure and has put the role of agents and employees under doubt. The lethal conspiracy was exposed when the police were investigating the Dilip Pandya murder case. Dilip was killed on January 9.
One Siraj Choudhary had Dilip Pandya murdered through his accomplices. Siraj had drawn life insurance policies of over 60 lakh in Dilip’s name.
