Fans of Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall, will probably be popping a bottle of champagne over the news that their favourite star is reportedly getting set to appear in the hit TV show Desperate Housewives.

According to Femalefirst, Cattrall, who played the voracious Samantha Jones on Sex and the City, is all set to join the women of Wisteria Lans, and play the role of a sex-crazed woman on the show.

Cattrall is reportedly to be portraying the role of Nicollette Sheridan's character Edie Britt's sister on the show. Her character is also set to more outrageous than that of her elder sister Edie Britt.
