Koda falls 'sick' after I-T officials grill him

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda, who is under the Income Tax scanner for alleged hawala transactions, was today admitted to a hospital in Ranchi after he complained of illness.

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda, who is under the Income Tax scanner for alleged hawala transactions, was today admitted to a hospital in Ranchi after he complained of illness.

"He was admitted to hospital around noon after he complained of some ailment. He is in the intensive care unit. The doctors are attending on him and only after getting the pathological report can we say about the ailment," a spokesman of the Abur Razzak Memorial Weavers Hospital Javed Akhtar, said.

He refused to reply to a query if the I-T slueths had accompanied Koda to the hospital.
