“I have negotiated with 10 Karnataka CMs since 1968 on the Cavuery issue. Even when the talks have failed none of them have taken such a position. Kaumaraswamy’s comments will only undermine the unity, integrity and sovereignty of India. Even his own father and former Prime Minister Deve Gowda will not accept his son’s stand,” Karunanidhi said in a statement.

Pointing out that when many countries shared the water of rivers flowing across the borders it is regrettable that there is not even an iota of humanism when it comes to Cauvery, he observed.
