Kutty's body flown to his native place

The mortal remains of the BRO driver, killed by Taliban, was taken to Kerala.

The body of slain Border Roads Organisation personnel Maniappan Raman Kutty was flown to his native place in Kerala from New Delhion Fridaymorning.

Kutty's body, which was flown from Kabul on Thursday evening, was airlifted to Thiruvanthapuram in an Indian Airlines flight IC-167 from the International Airport.

The mortal remains of the 36-year-old BRO driver would be taken to Chingoli village in Allapuzha for cremation later on Friday.

BRO Additional Director General TP Velayudhan, Brigadier of the General Reserved Engineering Force KRK Nair, local MP KS Manoj and his colleagues Varkala Radhakrishnan and Thennala Balakrishna Pillai accompanied the body.

The decapitated body of Kutty, who was abducted by Taliban militia, was dumped by a roadside in Nimroz province of Delaram in Afghanistan two days ago.
