Ladakh experiences fresh snowfall, JK reels under intense cold

Ladakh, which recorded a drop in night temperature, experienced snowfall thursday morning, Met office said.

Leh registered a low of minus 7 degrees Celsius, while Kargil recorded minus 8 degrees Celsius.

Night temperature further dipped by a few notches in srinagar which recorded a low of minus 2.9 degrees Celsius.

Pahalgam, a hill resort in south Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 4 degrees Celsius on thursday as against minus 3.6 degrees Celsius on wednesday.

Qazigund in south Kashmir and Kupwara in north Kashmir recorded minus 3.4 degrees C and minus 3.5 degrees C respectively, while Kokernag recorded minus 0.6 degrees Celsius.

Jammu recorded a low of 4.6 degrees Celsius, nearly four degrees below normal.

Banihal had a low of 0.2 degrees Celsius followed by Bhaderwah at 2 degrees Celsius. Batote had a minimum of 4.7 degrees Celsius, while Katra recorded a low of 8 degrees Celsius.
