Lawyers should use modern technology

Emphasising on the importance of computer, Dr Nigam said, computer is a great equalizer as a new lawyer can get the same information as a senior lawyer can get. Thus, with the help of computer, a new lawyer can attain heights in a short span of time.Dr Nigam said, he would persuade the government to launch a scheme so that young lawyers could get the computers on subsidised rates.

Dr Nigam said that Bar becomes great only due to the competence of its members and not by magnificent buildings.

Dr Nigam was speaking as the chief guest in the programme, organised by the office bearers of the Board of Revenue Bar Association, Allahabad. The president and secretary, including majority of office bearers of the association, felicitated Dr Nigam on being appointed the Additional Solicitor General of India for Uttar Pradesh.

On this occasion, Additional Advocate General of Uttar Pradesh, Adish C Agarwala, stressed on hard work and said there could be no substitute for hard work in the legal profession. He assured the lawyers to provide basic amenities for their upliftment in their profession.SN Pandey, IAS, a member of the Board of Revenue, Allahabad presided over the function.
