Contractors and labourers on Monday held demonstrations in the city. They had plans to block traffic but the police prevented any such action.

“Thousands of labourers have been rendered jobless because of the stalling of projects in Noida Extension. We need to be heard,” said RK Sharma, general secretary of a contractors' welfare union. “We have also sent our team to Allahabad to file a petition,” said Bharat Bhusan, a contractor.
More than Rs 25 crore has been blocked with various builders, another contractor said. Several buyers reached the Greater Noida authority office and inquired about the status of their investment. At Noida Sector 1 crossing, buyers shouted slogans. “My son booked a flat in Noida Extension. I was against the decision. Now we’re all regretting,” said Reema Sachdeva from Amritsar.
Meanwhile, land record officials were seen preparing acquisition data of the past decade. As per court directions, the Greater Noida authority has to publish these records.
