MCOCA judge Mrudula Bhatkar also granted permission to Anti-Terrorist Squad to destroy 49 hand-grenades and nearly 43 kg of RDX which was recovered from the accused, while instructing that empty grenade shells be preserved.

The sequence of arrests began on May nine when acting on a tip-off ATS team intercepted three of the accused on Aurangabad-Verul road and recovered RDX, AK-47 rifles and ammunition rounds.
