Liberation of Kashi, Mathura tops agenda

INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Vishnu Hari Dalmiya reiterated here on Saturday that liberation of Kashi, Mathura and Ayodhya topped the agenda of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the organisation would continue its struggle to achieve this goal.

INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Vishnu Hari Dalmiya reiterated here on Saturday that liberation of Kashi, Mathura and Ayodhya topped the agenda of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the organisation would continue its struggle to achieve this goal.

He said there should be no compromise on singing of Vande Mataram and condemned the forces who expressed reservations to making it compulsory.

Dalmiya was here to participate in a programme at Gita Vatika.

Talking to mediapersons, Dalmiya blamed the Union government for making the national song controversial and said it should be sung showing respect to the nation. He revealed that the hearing regarding Ram Janma Bhumi at Ayodhya was in the last stages and expressed the hope that the decision would be in favour of the VHP on the basis of evidence. However, he clarified that the VHP would not remained a mute spectator if the Supreme Court decision went against the Ram Janma Bhumi.

Lambasting the Bharatiya Janata Party for deceiving a particular community over construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, he condemned their attitude on the sensitive issue. He admitted that the VHP was working to form a parallel political organisation to provide a strong political platform to the forces really interesting in construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Terming all the political parties anti-Hindu, Dalmiya said terrorism had spread tentacles in the country and demanded that the Union government attack the terrorist training camps.

He blamed the Union government for its appeasement policies towards a particular community and said vote bank politics had weakened the spirit of national integration.

Separatist forces had become active, he said and called upon the Hindu community to be watchful and to counter anti-national activities. Conversion of Nepal from Hindu to secular nation was unfortunate.

Dalmiya further said that people of Nepal should realise that Maoists and other forces had tightened their grip and the Nepali people should start their struggle to against such forces. Responding to a question, Dalmiya said Ashok Singhal raised the issue with full strength but it had no impact on the Indian government.

His warning to launch a movement in favour of Nepal as a Hindu state would also not affect the Nepali government.
