?MAKARA VILAKKU? will be observed across Ayyappa temples in the State capital on Saturday. Makara Sankranti day marks the conclusion of the Makara Villakku-Mandala puja celebrations that began on November 16 last year.

‘MAKARA VILAKKU’ will be observed across Ayyappa temples in the State capital on Saturday. Makara Sankranti day marks the conclusion of the Makara Villakku-Mandala puja celebrations that began on November 16 last year. Special puja and bhajan will be held at the Ayyappa temple BHEL, Shivaji Nagar and Bairagarh on the occasion.

According to Sri Ayyappa Sewa Samiti, Tantri Brahamashri Shrivalsa Sharma, from Kerala, will conduct the special pujas in Bairagarh. The pujas will begin at 5.30 am and will continue throughout the day. A procession of Lord Ayyappa will be taken out from MES Shiva temple at 5 pm. The samiti has also arranged an ‘Annadanam’ for devotees at the temple premises between 12.30 pm and 3.30 pm.
