A local court in Gorakhpur has awarded death sentence to a man for killing his two minor daughters.
The additional sessions judge Deepak Kumar Nigam pronounced the verdict yesterday to Santosh Barnawal who under the influence of alcohol had stabbed the two girls, aged 5 and 3, to death on June 29, 2009, police said.
After killing his daughters, Barnawal, who hails from Bihar's Gopalganj district, also tried to stab himself, they said.
