This was announced by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) here on Monday.
Though hospitals such as Medanta-The Medicity, Artemis, Max, Paras, Columbia Asia etc have their own independent medical waste management system, many nursing homes and primary health centres still lacked facilities for managing medical waste.
“Waste management is an integral part of a national healthcare system,” said ASSOCHAM secretary general DS Rawat.
