Minister was speaking at the concluding day of two days regional convention on resolving industrial dispute at the Merchant Chamber here on Sunday.
Convention was jointly organised by the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD) and Central Board for Workers Education (CBWE).
The minister said that managers and the owners of commercial and industrial establishment needed to change their outlook in connection with their employees. He said that the days have gone when the employers were least bothered about the welfare of their employees.
He further said that many remarkable changes in personal relations of employees and employers had taken place in 21st century. Now both of them would have to consider the interest of each other to step into a highly competitive global market.
He said the Central Board for Workers Education has proposed to organise a state-level convention of the unorganised rural workers with a view of informing them about the ambitious schemes of the government launched for their welfare.
Addressing the convention, Union Minister of State for Home Sriparkash Jaiswal said the present convention would prove to be a landmark in the history of building better relation between the employees and the employers and promoting industrial development in the city.
He further said that industrialist should try to have a new beginning of insuring fast industrialisation to retain the glorious past of the city.
The chief general manager IOC Sunil Puri, an executive of BSCL sugar mills MC Joshi and the president of Petroleum Worker Union IM Umiyal also addressed the convention and unanimously suggested a sense of better understanding between the employees and the employers.
