A tremor measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale rocked Meghalaya capital Shillong on Sunday.

Its epicentre was located 12 kilometres away from the Central Seismological Observatory (CSO) in Upper Shillong area.
There was no immediate report of any casualty in the tremor which occurred at 1 pm.
This tremor was the second in the last three days with the last one occurring on January 18.
Its magnitude was 2.3 on the Richter scale and epicentre was 10 kilometres away from the CSO, observatory sources said.
