The blaze was reported at around 12:30 pm from the first floor of a building in Bhagirathi Palace behind the Lajpat Rai market in Central Delhi, fire brigade officials said.

Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was put down within 30 minutes.

There are no reports of any casualty.

A major fire had swept several multi-storeyed buildings in the market, considered Asia's largest electronic market, on August 26, injuring two persons.
