The SIT is coordinating with the Punjab police to find out the reason behind the Mintoo murder case.

Meanwhile, Mehboob Kraipak, maternal uncle of Mintoo thanked the state government, particularly minister of state for industries and commerce, home and tourism Sajad Ahmed Kichloo for his efforts in constituting the SIT.

Mintoo was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, where he was pursuing B Tech from the Rayat Bhara Institute of Engineering and Technology, on the intervening night of January 18 and 19.

However, the victim's family suspects the hand of Mintoo's friend Ranveer Singh, son of Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Hoshiarpur, behind the death of their son.
