Is it true that you have changed your name from Mona Chopra to Sherlin Chopra just because you want to change your bra-baring image?
Today my image in the film industry is like a hot sexy kitten. After doing films like Time Pass and Naughty Boy, I have all C-grade offers coming from various directors. Directors approach me with all dirty roles. Everyone wants me to do saucy roles. So I just decided to go back to my original name and do some good films. I want to get rid of this bra and panty sort of image.

Is Sherlin Chopra your original name?
Yes but when I debuted in Bollywood, the director insisted me to change my name from Sherlin to Mona. So I did it and after that this name continued in other films also. So I think Mona now has got associated with all sorts of filth and dirt. I am looking for some change of image and that is possible only after I change my name and do some quality films.

But you have done films like

and others with your own consent?

It's true because I don't have any Godfather in the industry. I am like those actresses who commit mistakes and learn from them. Even big actresses have done some sleazy roles in the beginning of their career. So if I am trying to move ahead from here, what wrong am I doing? I know if I continue as Mona Chopra, I will remain a C-grade actress. I have to change my image and for that I have to make a good beginning.

So what about your forthcoming film Game? Are you Sherlin or Mona?
In fact I requested my director and producer to change my name from the titles of the film but they have refused. I have raised this issue with them. If they won't do it, I will do it in the next film and I will get my name formally changed.
