Mother throws infant from first floor in a fit of rage
In a fit of rage, a 23-year-old woman threw her 11-month-old baby from the first floor of her Janakpuri house in Sahibabad on Friday afternoon. She had a heated exchange with her mother-in-law over cooking. The baby died on the spot. HT reports.

Pooja Sharma had a heated exchange with her mother-in-law Chandra Kala Sharma on Friday at around 2pm over cooking. Furious over the scolding by her mother-in-law, Pooja picked up her baby and ran to the first of the house. She then threw her out of the window, police said.
"The minor sustained critical injuries upon hitting the ground and was declared dead on arrival at a local hospital," circle officer (CO) AK Yadav said. Pooja's husband, who is a tour and travel operator, was at his office when the incident occurred. Chandra Kala is a teacher at a local school. Police said Pooja went missing after the incident.
"Her husband has filed a complaint we have launched a search operation for Pooja. Our teams have raided her mother's house," the CO added.
Sahibabad police station in charge VS Yadav confirmed that a case under section 304 had been lodged against Pooja.
