Official sources on Wednesday said a request in this regard had been already sent to the Centre.

The Opposition Congress in the state had been demanding that that a CBI inquiry should be ordered into the killing of Jatav.

However, the demand had been earlier turned down by the state government.

Jatav (40), MLA from Gohand constituency, was shot dead by unidentified assailants on April 14.
