CHIEF MINISTER Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday called upon frontal organisations to effectively counter the propaganda against the State Government launched by ‘rootless people’ in the state. Yadav said there would now be a direct fight against those who had targeted his government.
Addressing a conference of four frontal organisations here on Tuesday, Yadav, without taking the name of VP Singh’s Jan Morcha directed the workers to target these anti-SP forces. Referring to Morcha’s rally here on Tuesday the chief minister said strangers and baseless people had come to the State to take on the well-entrenched SP. He said huge amount had been spent on a flop rally.
About the crowd at the Morcha rally, Yadav said such a crowd would assemble at Hazratganj if he stopped there. He said 3000 chairs were arranged and there was claim of 20,000 people at the rally.
The chief minister said those accusing the state government should look at their own performance. He said Union Ministers Lalu Yadav and Ram Vilas Paswan, who attended the rally had forgotten that the Congress-led UPA Government had failed at the centre.
Yadav said sympathizers of farmers had also ignored their interest by importing wheat from Australia. He said State Governments in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh had also failed, but there was rally only against the UP Government. He said the MP Government had been giving shelter to Chambal dacoits.
