Mumbai students to participate in Formula UK Race

In a unique first, six students from an engineering college in Mumbai will compete in the Formula UK Race in their self-manufactured car.

In a unique first, six students from an engineering college in Mumbai will compete in the Formula UK Race in their self-manufactured car which they have made on the lines of a Formula 1 racing car.

Dhaval Shah, Amar Bhor, Adil Akhtar Khan, Avishek Neogi, Parikshit Dhume and Siddhesh Keluskar are final year engineering students studying in Bharti Vidyapeeth College of Engineering in Navi Mumbai. The six students designed and manufactured the 150cc, two stroke, 7.1 Bhp petrol engine car and now intend to manufacture a 600cc car with international quality equipment, machinery and components.



They are the first to be selected from the University of Mumbai for the international race SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), which is in association with the iMECHe (Institute for Mechanical Engineering).
