Mumbai to Goa: Special trains for Ganpati

Your travel to and from Mumbai to Goa will be more easier during the Ganesh festival starting August 23.

To clear the extra rush during the 10-day Ganesh festival, the Western Railway will run two more special train services between Bandra Terminus and Madgaon (Goa) via Konkan Railway route.

The train will have air condition three-tier, sleeper class and second class general accommodation. The bookings of Bandra Terminus - Madgaon special train will start from August 11.

Special train No.0973 will leave Bandra Terminus at 11.45 pm on August 16, and reach Madgaon at 3.45 pm the next day.

Similarly, in return direction train No. 0974 Madgaon - Andheri will leave Madgaon at 6.45 pm on August 17 and reach Andheri station at 10.10 am the next day. The train will halt at Borivli, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim and Karmali stations in both directions.

During the return journey, the train will terminate at Andheri station.
