"With over a week left for the polling, it was felt that the emphasis in this period should be on rural areas of the states since this was where the party could garner maximum votes," party sources said.
"With Delhi having a largely urban population, it was felt that the people were not so keen on attending public meetings. The meeting felt that the party concentrate its poll campaign in rural areas," they said.
The meeting was attended by party Vice President Bal Apte and General Secretaries Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Sanjay Joshi.
