Nasik sends medical teams to Mumbai, Thane
About 20 medical teams from Nasik have been sent to Mumbai and Thane.
As per Maharashtra government directives, about 20 medical teams, including medical officers and health staff from Nasik have been sent to Mumbai and Thane to assist local authorities in view of extensive damage of properties and life caused due to torrential rains last month.

Besides medial teams, a team of 30 tahsildar-level officers and 40 talathis have been sent to prepare 'panchnamas' there, Nasik Revenue Commissioner Kishor Gajbhiye said in an official release in Nasik on Tuesday.
"We have also sent a team of Maharashtra Power Distribution Company Ltd, including 30 engineers and 121 staff, for restoring power supply in the affected areas, he said.
Meanwhile, precautions are being taken in Nasik division, comprising five districts of Nasik, Jalgaon, Ahmednagar, Dhule and Nandurbar to avoid any rain-related incidents and the government machinery have been asked to remain alert, Gajbhiye said.
The district has recorded 703.5 mm of rainfall till August 8 and the water level in almost all the major dams is satisfactory, he added.
