The Navi Mumbai police have finally received court orders for the custody of Devendra Baburao Jagtap, alias JD, who shot at extradited gangster Abu Salem in Taloja jail on June 27.

The police, who have failed to make much headway in the case as they have not been able to interrogate him, are confident that now they will be able to get information from him.

“Once we get his custody, we will crack the case in two days’ time,” said Fattehsingh Patil, additional commissioner of police, Navi Mumbai.
